Anaheim Angels
The Anaheim Angels, founded in 1961, are a baseball team based in Anaheim, California. They won the World Series championship in 2002. Known for iconic players like Nolan Ryan and Mike Trout, the Angels play at Angel Stadium and are a competitive team in MLB.
I attempted to reconstruct their identity for several reasons. In my view, the choice of red is not suitable when representing angels. Therefore, I went back several decades to retrieve certain elements, such as the colors used before red became dominant in the franchise's image.

Current vs Concept
Primary logo
In its overall appearance, there is a certain harmony between the shapes and colors. Looking at the logo, one almost feels as if it is about to take flight.
Secondary logo
This version is a blend of the logos from 1970‑1985 and the one from 2012, which is still in use today. A few modifications have been made to give the design a fresh touch.
Typography
The guiding principle in the design was to maintain a certain consistency with the script on the front of the jersey. I opted for a simple and clean font to keep it understated.
Uniforms
Home
The Angels will play in white, with strong contrasts in the cap and socks. The texts and logos are in a blue color called 'Periwinkle' as designated by Disney, the former owner of the team.
Away
The team will wear a dark blue uniform, which will once again contrast perfectly with the text. It's an elegant ensemble for the team's travel.
Alternate
And finally, the second shade of blue, 'Periwinkle' is paired with dark lines. This time, the logos and text use gold and white for better readability.
